Westside Day Nursery employees are encouraged to develop and enhance their professional development.
Staff are employed at a minimum level 3 childcare qualification; we also employ trainee nursery nurses who are working towards their level 2 and 3 childcare qualifications. Staff are encouraged to complete their level 4, 5 and 6 childcare qualifications. All our management team have level 5 or above.
All staff complete mandatory training, health and safety, food hygiene, safeguarding children and paediatric first aid, as well as FGM and channel training. Our aim is for all staff to have completed SEN training as well as Level safeguarding training.
Many of our staff are attending college and university outside their normal working hours to develop their knowledge, showing their commitment to the profession as well as the company.
